About this place
From the opening otoshi bite onwards, the food at Yataiki Eifukucho shows careful preparation and inventiveness. Driven by seasonal market arrivals, the chalkboard menu shifts regularly, moving from tataki and yukhoe-style meats to seafood and fried dishes designed to pair with drinks. Standouts include Hiroshima-sourced Jigozen oysters fried in sea-lettuce batter and deep-fried horse mackerel accompanied by house-made tartar sauce.
Drinks keep pace with the kitchen, featuring refreshing choices such as sours packed with whole blueberries or seasonal mandarin orange. A rotating lineup of craft beers and seasonal sake releases—such as autumn hiyaoroshi junmai ginjo—gives drinkers varied styles to explore across an evening.
Seating around 10 guests, the intimate room is operated entirely by the owner, who handles both cooking and service. The unobtrusive atmosphere makes it comfortable for solo patrons stopping by the counter or those winding down after work. Because space is tight, reserving or checking seat availability by phone ahead of time is wise. Cash is the only accepted payment method.
